MLOps is the art and science of bringing machine learning to production, and it means many things to many people. The State of MLOps is an effort to define and monitor this market.

How is the MLOps market defined, what should you be looking for if you want to address MLOps in your organization, and what are the options?

These are all highly relevant questions to operationalize machine learning — and not just because MLOps is hitting peak (Gartner) hype. A few people are trying to address those in the Gartners of the world and beyond.

Ori Cohen and Lior Gavish are among them. Their opinion counts because they are both machine learning practitioners with years of experience whose daily job touches upon various aspects of MLOps.

Cohen has a PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, AI, Real-Time Brain Computer Interface (BCI). He is currently the Lead Researcher at New Relic, and he recently went public with his pet project – The State of MLOps.
